National Precast
Concrete Association

The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) is pleased to announce
that Sunnycrest Precast, of Auburn. NY has
certified its manufacturing facility. This
is their initial certification in the NPCA program.
The NPCA Plant Certification Program is a challenging test of a plant's
ability to produce quality precast concrete products. Administered
by Wiss, Janney, Elstner, Associates. Inc., a world-renown engineering
and materials science firm, the inspection is
a comprehensive look at all aspects of precast concrete production.
Precast plants that become certified
must meet high standards in all areas of production, safety and
information management.
According to Ty Gable, President of NPCA, Sunnycrest Precast has proven
its commitment to producing the highest quality of precast products by
joining this elite group of precasters. Specifiers
and contractors who purchase products from Sunnycrest Precast certified
plant, can be assured that they are buying from a professional
organization dedicated to providing the customer quality products.
Precast Concrete Association of
New York (PCANY)
The purpose of the PCANY Certification Program for Water and Wastewater
Products is to assure the public and approving agencies that tanks or
chambers achieving certification have been subjected to a rigorous
testing and evaluation program, all for the benefit and protection of
the Public and the Environment.
The following Producers have submitted the required documents,
attesting to their ability to manufacture watertight tanks; this means a
Professional Engineer has checked the tank design, the producers'
manufacturing and quality control procedures, and witnessed the required
vacuum testing to demonstrate water tightness.
These are the only two producers
(as of 09/2005) of concrete septic tanks authorized to cast the
"PCANY LISTED" round, red plastic tags into
their products, which are listed below."

National Concrete Burial
Vault Association

The NCBVA recognizes its leadership role in the
area of funeral service to continually research and develop, then
specify and promote minimum performance standards for the burial vault
industry. This publication will serve as the standard whereby burial
vault producers, customers, and all interested parties may judge the
structural integrity of outer burial receptacles being brought to the
marketplace. The procedures outlined in this report are designed to
demonstrate performance under the wide variety of soil and vehicle loads
which the typical concrete burial vault and graveliner must withstand.
The NCBVA intends to establish testing procedures which will demonstrate
whether or not the units manufactured meet minimum performance
specifications and criteria
